Grow Taller With HGH

Human growth hormone has been identified as the hormone responsible for growth in humans. Initially, hormone therapy was given to children with stunted growth. It was only later that the other benefits of HGH were recognized.

How does HGH Increases Height?

HGH is produced by one of the tiniest glands in the body, i.e anterior pituitary gland. It is secreted into the blood. It travels to the liver and stimulates it to produce IGF-1 or Insulin-like growth factor-1. IGF-1 has a key role to play in increase of height. It encourages the skeletal system to increase in height.

It is well known that height increases from the beginning of puberty to its end but do you know how it increases and what happens to make you grow during this period? Each end of the long bones contain cartilage cells where the growth occurs.

These Cartilage cells are flexible and cell multiplication occurs here leading to an increase in height. At the end of puberty, the cartilage hardens into bone and the growth stops. After this period, there are very rare chances that even HGH or IGF-1 can help in increasing the height and growth.

The Growth Plate

Growth plates are also known as epiphyseal plates or in short, physis.  These cartilage cells are also known as growth plates. To know if you can grow taller after puberty, you have to first know if the growth plates are closed i.e. if they have hardened to bones or are open. If they are open i.e. they have not hardened to bones, an increase in HGH and IGF-1 can help you to grow. The only way to find if the plates are open or close is to get an x-ray done. If, unfortunately, for you, they have hardened, then you will have to resort to other methods for increasing height.

Since HGH plays a key role in increasing height, parents are advised to check their children for growth when they reach puberty. If they find that their child is not growing taller, then HGH treatment is recommended.
